ILWS Summer Swap rejects

These are my first two attempts for the Summer Swap over at ILWS. Am pleased with my first attempt at sponging, but neither were quite right. Won't spoil the surprise of my final design!

First ever easel card

Tonight I decided to make an easel card. A friend is in hospital so I hope this will cheer her up a bit.

Everything except the spotty card base is by Stampin' Up! The stamps are from the Botanical Blooms set and I just love the two-step effect. The ink colours are Rose Red and Always Artichoke from a free card kit. And the yummy ribbon and felt buttons were from the goody bag Julie gave me for hosting a workshop.

Definitely a winner in terms of colour combo and theme I think.
