Cute tortoise, bit of ribbon and letter stamping. Got to keep it simple for old people (recipient is 32 hehe).

Fox & Friends monkey stamp, the branch from the Bird punch and Earth Elements colour scheme. Another for a baby on the way!

Julie brought round the Stampin' Up! goodies we ordered from my workshop on Monday so I had a quick play!
The Fox & Friends stamps are soooo adorable! Got a few friends with babies on the way so they will get lots of use!
I am also in love with the Bird punch.
Colours used here are Chocolate Chip ink, Old Olive card and ribbon and Tall Tales paper. And a Stitched Felt leaf.
The letters are some random stamps I have.

I made this album from a Stampin' Up! kit put together by Monica (see her awesome blog here). The papers are totally stunning and I love the felt pieces. I did the baby one as a practice as Monica included a little example.
Tonight I decided to make an easel card. A friend is in hospital so I hope this will cheer her up a bit.
Everything except the spotty card base is by Stampin' Up! The stamps are from the Botanical Blooms set and I just love the two-step effect. The ink colours are Rose Red and Always Artichoke from a free card kit. And the yummy ribbon and felt buttons were from the goody bag Julie gave me for hosting a workshop.
Definitely a winner in terms of colour combo and theme I think.
Julie came round to my house last night to run a Stampin' Up! workshop for myself and some friends and we had LOADS of fun. :-) We had some foodage (pizzas, sweeties, crisps and Nicolien's beautiful cupcakes), lots of natters and giggles and got very crafty.
Julie used the Vintage Vogue set and showed us how to make a little gift box first. She put some goodies in and handed it to me! :-) I got some ribbons and some of the felt flowers, very lush.
Then we made a cute card using the set and gorgeous pinks and yellow cards and a bit of ribbon.
A great evening all round. I ordered lots of great things - can't wait till they arrive and I can play.
Big thanks to all my lovely friends for coming round and to Julie for being fab! Make sure you go check out her blog here.
I'm thinking about becoming a demo myself now ...

At last night's Buns & roses WI worshop we made fascinators. I decided to go for Chanel-influened green and pink for mine, with ribbon and buttons. It will go nicely with a scarf I am knitting in the same colours. Don't expect to see that anytime soon though!
I made this card for the In Love With Stamping May Design Team Challenge Sketch, which you can find the details for
here. It didn't turn out quite as good as I had hoped to be honest, but it's a learning curve. The white flowers were just ruffled up circles of crepe paper, with pre-made daisies stuck on top. This is the kind of thing I want to get better at doing.
Here is an unashamedly pink birthday card! This used the happy day stamps from the SU Simply Sent card it and a sprinkling of funky glitters!

This is the card I made for the latest Inspiring'Inkin challenge here. I'm really pleased with it. Bit of everything here - simple Origami butterfly, beautiful papers, ribbons and some cute buttons.
The pupil has graduated! Alex made this while we watched the Spanish Grand Prix.
Tennis-themed card for a girl at work who is leaving. Bit of stamping, colouring in and a piece of ribbon.
There was a demo day at Samuel Taylor yesterday. Made me realise just how much fun stuff there is to play with! Lots of exciting glitters and cutty things and papers. Managed to resist the temptation to spend lots, but bought some mags with lots of inspiration in. My head is exploding with ideas!

This is one of my favourite cards so far. :-) I got the idea for the tri-fold card from Julie, an SU Independent Demonstrator who is coming to do a workshop for me later this month. Check out her awesome blog at http://juliesjapes.blogspot.com/
